The Manga Fashion Bible by Christopher-Hart The Manga Fashion Bible by Christopher-Hart
My book "The Manga Fashion Bible" has just been published and is now available! This chapter shows how to draw and color J-Pop fashions. Each chapter focuses on a different, popular Japanese fashion style. Great for drawing manga characters. Check out the book, and more sample pages, on Amazon. amzn.to/2dbOYHj

It's quite rare to see a western book about manga these days. Most of them were published during the early 2000's, so it's not s=easy to find a tutorial that teaches how to draw in a modern style.

You know, I could never understand just what constitutes 'J-Pop fashion/ culture.'
How is it any different than the clothing worn by Western characters? I always thought the style could be worn stateside and blend in.Or is it like how the different regions of America have certain styles or clothing staples, like my own characters living in Michigan who sport plaid and Nordic sweaters while a stereotypical Southern Californian would be dressed for the beach?

It's pretty different. But all artists see things differently, so you can do anything you want. I like your drawings.
