You guys continually show a passion and a creative drive in your art and on your posts. At all levels, your drawings communicate personality and vibrancy. I can tell that, as you draw, you put care and thought into every pencil stroke. Know what I mean?
And it's because of who you are that I try to make myself available to you, to answer questions and to offer encouragement, whenever I can. Many of you have thanked me for giving you a little inspiration along the way in your creative journey. Today, I want to take the opportunity to thank you for doing the same for me!
In the past, I've been reluctant to open my work up to critiques, in part because there are people out there who only use critiques to trash things. But as you already probably know, I changed my policy a while ago. Since becoming open to receiving critiques, I have received many nice comments, interesting observations, valuable suggestions, and very few not-nice people. I recently posted a whimsical image of a fairy on my gallery, and requested critiques on it. You're invited to participate; and of course, feel free to offer your observations on any drawing I have.
in addition to posting artwork, I'm also going to be posting tutorials in the form of "assignments," for those of you who like to do projects. Look for them in my gallery. In fact, I've already uploaded the first assignment, about the importance of poses, in my gallery. You're invited to send me links to let me see what you've done.
