Do you believe there are more opportunities for artists now than before? Where do you see yourself as an artist ten years from now, and what are you doing to try to get there? christopherhartbooks.com

Bleeding out, in a ditch, behind a gas station in a desert during the middle of the night wearing a clown costume.

Maybe you could aim just a touch higher.

As was already mentioned by someone else, I think art is much easier to share than ever before, and there are more ways to make money with it than ever. But at the same time, being truly successful is more difficult, because the connected nature of the world today means competition is astronomically high.

As for me, hopefully in ten years I won't be where I am now, lol. I want to be financially stable doing the things that I love. In ten years, I'm hoping that I've succeeded in one of the avenues I've continuously explored all this time, and that allows me to better explore the others. I'm simply too insatiably creative to want to stick to just one thing.

With social media and the internet being so accessible now, I think it is easier to get your art and creations out there and build an audience. Of course this means that things are much more competitive, so perhaps it's harder to get your work seen by the right people? I'd like to think that in ten years from now my cartoons will continue to make people chuckle! :)

Hopefully as a successful author, animator or actor. I see my future splitting this way and that depending on what choices are available to me.

It's a good idea to be able to shift direction with the market, as you seem to be saying.

That's what Dad always said.

Basically I was saying that depending on how things go, I could have all of those to potentially fall back on.
